Born and raised in Lake Stevens, I left for Pullman at 18 and got myself a broadcasting degree at Washington State University. I am actually on my second tour of duty at KZOK with stops at KBBZ in Montana, my mandatory stop at KISW, Producing for The Robin and Maynard show on The Buzz, and most recently I helped with the launch of 100.7 The Wolf.

The best part of working at KZOK is working with my heroes… I grew up listening to Bill Reid, Vanderpool and Wilke. They grew up listening to Slaton and Crow, and now I have a chance to work around all of these guys. Have you ever seen that painting where Elvis and Hendrix and Jim Morrison are all up on stage together in heaven? Working here is like a real life version of that… except for radio… and we are not all dead…

I’ve never really thought about what I would be doing if not in radio. I have had a dream of being a DJ since I was a kid, and I have honestly never thought of doing anything else. I guess if I had to pick another dream job I would be designing shoes at Nike.

I have been thinking long and hard about my 5 favorite bands. I know that Zeppelin is the definite number one. After that there is a huge tie for number two with The Beatles, Stones, Allman Brothers, Skynyrd, AC\DC and The Dead
