I was born in the birthplace of Liberty itself – Boston, Massachusetts. Home of the Tea Party, Revolution, Patriots, and Red Sox!
Growing up in a suburb with “rock” in the middle of its name, it was clear that I would love rock ‘n’ roll. After graduating 957th out of my high school class of 963 (They went alphabetically.), I went to college in Worcester (not the sauce). I barely graduated from there, having cut all my classes to “spin records” at the college radio station. That is where I was infected with the radio bug. As they say, “Once it’s in your blood…”. From there, it was back to Boston. Home of the Tea Party, Revolution, etc., etc., etc. I studied broadcasting at a school that doesn’t exist anymore, while working at WVBF and WZLX.
It was while working at WBET and WBIV, that I decided to move to Seattle. It was actually during a state of emergency declared for a blizzard, that I decided to move. So, I traveled the length of I-90 in the Fall of 1993, and I’ve been at KZOK ever since. I still remember the first night I spoke over the microphone on KZOK, and a guy faxed me a photocopy of his butt. What better job could there be? I get to play some of the greatest music ever created from bands I like most, such as Aerosmith, Heart, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and the Beatles. If I didn’t work in radio…well, I guess I would be living a more healthy, normal, richer life. ;-)
